With over 20 years of professional experience, Rachel brings both financial and administrative expertise to Associated Eye Care Partners and its clients. Prior to joining AECP Rachel spent 10 years as the Director of Financial and Administrative Services for Associated Eye Care leading and managing the company’s accounting, HR and administrative service functions.
Rachel has worked on a variety of initiatives that have created a cohesive link between clinical operations and financial results. She is skilled in financial modeling, budgeting, and forecasting and recently led the development of a customized monthly financial and operational analysis package for Associated Eye Care that is used as a key decision support tool by practice owners and senior leadership.
Rachel is an expert level user of both QuickBooks and Sage100 and, prior to working at AEC, traveled around the United States providing training on accounting software and workflow best practices. Rachel has done significant work in the area of policy and procedure development, with an emphasis on internal controls. She led the implementation of Ascentis HR & payroll suite for Associated Eye Care, which includes an employee self-service portal, benefit management, employee performance and recruiting module. Rachel and her teams also provided expertise in several areas of compliance including EEO, affirmative action, COBRA, and FMLA.
PROFESSIONAL ORGANIZATIONS AND CERTIFICATIONS
Rachel is a licensed CPA. She has been a member of the Minnesota Society of CPAs and American Institute of CPAs (AICPA) since 1999. She is also a member of the Healthcare Financial Management Association (HFMA) and the Society for HR Management (SHRM).
EDUCATION
Rachel earned her Bachelor of Accounting from the University of Minnesota-Duluth, and her Master of Business Administration from the University of Wisconsin-River Falls.
